About the Foundation

Fundacion Luis Vazquez A.C. in a Non-Profit organization founded in 2016 in Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico

Through private donations The foundation has been able to build a brand new recreation facility to stimulate the development of children and adults with special needs.

Providing a wheelchair accessible facility the foundation will be able to offer the community a wide range of water activities, art and exercise classes as well as a kitchen and palapa covered dining and lounge areas.

This is all taking place in a poverty stricken area located in one of the most beautiful and historic towns on the Sea of Cortez.

About Luis Vasquez

Luis is a 12 years old bright and happy young man who shares his time between Loreto and Insurgentes. Luis attends CAM 5Y in Insurgentes.

Luis enjoys dancing, listening to music, swimming socializing with more children and cinema. His favorite activity during the weekends is to ride with his father Gabriel Vázquez and swimming. Unfortunately Loreto does not have adequate facilities for children like Luis. Luis was born with Down Syndrome and wants to help provide great experiences for other children like him

Luis is changing this. With the help of the community and his dad, he’s halfway there.

In Loreto there is currently a stigma surrounding children and adults with special needs and developmental disabilities. Schools and facilities are neglected financially and in terms of staff quality. Many children are forced to leave school due to lack of resources and transportation. These special children lose the opportunity to improve their education and social skills that leaves them with fewer opportunities to succeed in life.

With your donations you can be a part of changing many lives for many years to come.
